I For You
By Renée
Donghae rushed out from the bathroom and into her room, towel wrapped around her and clutched to her chest. She hurriedly answered her phone, “Y-Yeoboseyo?”
“I'm coming to your house, emergency meeting.” As soon as the words had left Sungmin's mouth, there was a knock at the front door. Cursing, Donghae ran about the room searching for her bra and panties. “You better be decent!” Sungmin's voice called from the end of the hallway. “I won’t care if you aren’t, but still!”
“My bottom half is decent…” Donghae called, searching frantically around for her bra.
Suddenly her bedroom door swung open, with a loud squeak she hid behind her cupboard door. “Sungmin!” she stressed, head pocked out from behind the door. The bunny boy sat down on the bed happily, “Donghae, I'm gay. You’re boobs, though big, really don’t affect me. I’d rather see Kyuhyun's-”
“STOP right there!” she snapped, hand held out defensively in front of her. “Minnie, I can’t find my bra.” She pouted.
“Then wear another one…?” he concluded, brow furrowed. “You surely don’t have, just one bra?”
Donghae sighed dramatically, “But it’s not the saaaame!” she whined, “This one goes with my panties!” she poked her bum out from behind the door, to show him, “See? They’re blue. My blue bra is missing.”
Standing up Sungmin made his way over to the cupboard, “What are you doing?!” Donghae yelped, backing up further, “Helping you,” he sighed.
“But you’ll see me…”
“And I don’t like boobs, so what's the harm?” Sungmin sighed louder, hand on his hip, “Seriously ‘Hae, I like penis! Now let me help you, so we can talk properly.” That’s when it occurred to Donghae that Sungmin had come over for a reason.
Blushing she stepped out from behind the cupboard door, arms folded over her chest as a makeshift bra, “Its not lacy like the panties, it’s like a metallic light blue.” She moved over to sit on the end of her bed, “It’s my favorite.”
Sungmin rolled his eyes and searched through her cupboard, then draws, then moved over to every other surface in the room. “Are you sure it’s not in the wash?”
“…No?”
“I swear Donghae, if your stupid bra is in the wash, I am going to tell Hyukjae you like him and that I’ve seen your boobs!” he said as a half threat. She gasped and stood up, arms dropping. “See they aren’t that bad!” he pointed to her chest, “Stop being such a girl, and help me find your effin’ bra.”
Donghae was about to tell him, that she was in fact a girl, but she stopped as she saw something blue out of the corner of her eye. “Found it!” she ran over to her door and lifted up her jacket. There was the infamous blue bra, in all its glory. She quickly slipped it on then turned back to Sungmin.
The boy was staring at her, “All that time it took me looking for it and it was there!” he whined, arms folded over his chest and pouting he dropped onto the bed. Donghae skipped over and laid down next to him, throwing and arm around him, “Cheer up Minnie~” she cooed, pressing a kiss to his cheek. His pout didn’t budge, “I know how I can make you happy~” she sat up and leant over him, giving Sungmin another nice view of her chest.
Snatching her phone up, she sat down with her legs crossed. Pressing a few buttons she smiled victoriously and held out her phone for Sungmin. The blond snatched it, his eyes going wide. “Ohmyfuckinggodithinkiloveyou!” he squealed, tackle hugging her.
Donghae fell back onto the bed with a loud ‘ooph’, Sungmin all the while giggling like a maniacal girl at her idol’s concert. “Send it to me! Send it to me!” he sang, staring at his best friend’s phone.
Rolling her eyes, Donghae complied. “You owe me buddy.” She said, successfully sending the picture. Sungmin squealed once again and hugged his phone close. “Didn’t you come here to tell me something?” she sat back and slipped under her covers, covering up her half naked body.
“Oh yeah, Kyuhyun asked me out to the movies on Thursday night.” He said excitedly. Donghae grinned up at him, “Came to ask me to go shopping with you?”
“Pretty much,” Sungmin admitted, grin not budging. “Can you tell how happy I am?”
Laughing, Donghae sat up, blanket slipping away from her, “Put it this way, you’re about as obvious as a pink fluffy spanner in a hard wear shop.” they both laughed at the play on words. “But Sungmin, yes, I can definitely tell how happy you are. You are my best friend after all.”
“Yes, yes I am.” Sungmin moved up beside her and gave her a tight hug. “Now, get dressed so we can go shopping!” he ordered, yanking her up from the bed.
Junsu sat down beside Hyukjae on the bench. They were currently at the mall, Junsu demanding Hyukjae come with him to help find his favorite bands new CD. “Hyukkie, the sooner we find it, the sooner we can leave.” he sang, grinning.
“I guarantee you. There is not going to be another copy in this entire mall. Every other fan girl in a five mile radius has already come and bought them, just download it of the internet.” Hyukjae snapped, arms folded over his chest.
Huffing, Junsu stood up, “But it’s not the same! I want one I can hold and sleep next to…” Hyukjae raised an eyebrow at his last statement, “Hyukjae-ah! Please~”
“Uh! The things I do for you!” he sighed dramatically and walked off toward the next music store.
Donghae and Sungmin had successfully found Sungmin a new shirt and were now searching for a new pair of shoes, “Just get them!” Donghae huffed, thrusting the white and black checkered slip-on’s into Sungmin's hands.
“But they wont go with my pants!” he grumbled, looking away from Donghae.
“Yes. They will!” she ground back, left eye twitching. “Just buy them!”
Throwing his hands into the air dramatically, Sungmin trudged over to the counter, “Just these, thanks.” He said, fake smile in place as the lady behind the counter scanned them.
“I’ll be outside,” Donghae said over her shoulder, already halfway out the door. Once outside, she sat down on a bench. Pulling out her phone, she looked at the picture of her and Sungmin. If only I could Photoshop Hyukjae’s face onto…
“Donghae!” she looked up to see Junsu running up to her, Hyukjae in tow. Their eyes locked for a second and she quickly looked back to Junsu blushing. “Hi guys!” she stood up and gave them both a hug.
“What’re you doing here?” Junsu asked, looking around to see who she could possibly be with.
She sighed, “Sungmin. We’re out shopping for a new outfit for him. He and Kyuhyun are going out on a date.” She explained, Junsu's eyes lit up.
“They’re finally together?!”
“No, but we’re hoping that Kyuhyun will ask him out while their out on the date.” Donghae said, looking into the shop Sungmin was in. “He’s actually buying a pair of shoes right now and should be finished…” her eyes narrowed as she trailed off. “I swear if he’s put them back!” with out giving the other two and explanation, she marched back into the store.
Junsu turned to Hyukjae, who shrugged, “No idea…” a moment later she returned with Sungmin beside her, angry look over her face. “I fucking told you to just get them, listen to me once in a while, god!”
Hyukjae raised an eyebrow at the foul language coming from Donghae, she’d never sworn in front of either him or Junsu before.
“Junsu! Hyukkie!” Sungmin chirped, running away from Donghae to greet them. Rolling her eyes, Donghae jogged up behind him, “What’re you guys doing?” he asked, swinging his few bags back and forth in his hands.
“Double Beat’s new album is out!” Junsu almost squealed, “I'm searching for it, but they’re all sold out so far.”
Sungmin's brow furrowed in thought, “I think I saw a shop back down that way with a full stand of albums in its window,” he turned to Donghae, “Remember?” she shook her head ‘no’. “Oh well, I’ll just have to take ‘Su there.” He grabbed the other boys arm and began to drag him in the direction of the store. “Meet us at the food court in twenty!” he called over his shoulder.
Donghae turned to Hyukjae, “Were we just ditched?”
“I… think so…”
Huffing Donghae dropped back down onto the bench, Hyukjae hesitantly sitting beside her. “The things I do for him.” she grumbled, voice barely above a whisper.
“Huh?” Hyukjae asked confused, “A… are you okay?”
She turned to him, “Yeah, I’ll be fine. It’s just he kinda pisses me off when he does things like that.” she pulled out her phone and began to flip it open and shut. Hyukjae made a small sound of agreement and leant back against the back of the seat.
“So what do you want to do for the next twenty minutes?” he asked timidly, voice stuttering slightly. He turned in his place and faced Donghae, “I don’t mind going into all the girly shops.” He chuckled lightly and looked away nervously.
Donghae grinned up at him, “That’s okay, the only time I go in them is when my umma wants to buy me a new dress or something,” she visibly shuddered at the mention of ‘dresses’.
Another laugh slipped past Hyukjae's lips, “Okay then, no girly shops. What else then?”
Donghae shrugged, “Dunno… what do you wanna’ do?”
Hyukjae could think of a lot of things he would like to do with Donghae… “Do you wanna’ just walk around?” he asked blushing. Donghae nodded her head and stood up, tugging her tank top down where it had started to ride up. Hyukjae eyes fell onto the bare patch of skin showing at her lower back, he snapped out of his daze when she pulled it down also.
“Ready?” Donghae asked grinning, she held out a hand for him. Hyukjae shakily took the offered hand and followed her down the small stretch of shops.
They fell into a comfortable silence Donghae randomly pointing things out every now and then and tugging Hyukjae over to shop windows to look at the things on display. Hyukjae was mildly surprised when Donghae ran over to the toy store to point out an alien toy hanging up behind the glass. “I had one just like this when I was little in China.” She beamed, eyes staring up at the stuffed toy. “A boy next door broke it, though. He ripped off its antenna’s and then dropped it in a puddle.” A pout slipped over her lips at the memory, eyes not once moving away from the doll.
“How much is it?” Hyukjae asked casually, looking closer at the plushy.
“It doesn’t matter,” Donghae said flippantly, stepping back from the glass. She made to walk away, only then realizing that their hands were still linked. Blushing she stepped back beside the other. “It’s probably really expensive anyway.”
Hyukjae looked thoughtfully at the green and purple alien. “I suppose, maybe another time?” Donghae spared one last glance at the doll before they stepped away from the shop.
Falling into silence once again, they continued walking to the food court. “Is it nice in China?” Hyukjae asked, swinging their still linked hands a little. Donghae nodded her head, “Yeah, it is. Though, I suppose it really depends on where you live, I lived a little out of Beijing, it was nice.” She smiled, it was a different smile then the others, it was a little sad. “I'm starting to get hungry.” Donghae said, changing the subject.
“Mmm… same. I hope Sungmin and ‘Su are there when we get there.” He said back, looking off at some shop that they were passing. Donghae was about to speak again when suddenly their names were called out from behind them, she turned around to see Junsu and Sungmin running up to them.
“Hi guys,” she grinned, looking down to see a small bag held tightly in Junsu's hands, “Found it?”
“Yes!” Junsu yelped, “It was the last one too!” Donghae saw Hyukjae roll his eyes from the corner of her eye.
She looked to Sungmin, who gave her a knowing look, then motioned down to her and Hyukjae's clasped hands. She blushed and looked away. “I'm hungry!” Junsu declared, breaking the awkward silence, “Let’s go eat.”
They all agreed, Sungmin coming up to stand beside Donghae and Junsu on the other side of Hyukjae. Donghae's hand still held firmly in Hyukjae's. Suddenly Hyukjae stopped, “Hey, can I meet you guys at the food court, I need to go and get something.” He reluctantly unclasped his and Donghae's hand. “I’ll be fast!”
The three watched as Hyukjae ran back in the direction they had come from. Turning back around, they continued on to the food hall.
They were just sitting down, Donghae with some noodle dish, Sungmin with some curry and Junsu with chicken and chips, when Hyukjae arrived at their table. He had a large bag hidden behind his back and a wide grin over his face.
“Donghae-ah, can I talk to you for a second?” he asked nervously. Looking a little apprehensive Donghae placed down her tray and dropped her bag into Sungmin's lap. “S-Sure.” She stuttered, following Hyukjae out of the court.
They walked a little way down the mall and down a small path off the side, Hyukjae lead her around a corner and the next minute they were in a small court yard. No one else was around, the place literally deserted. He turned around to her, dark blue bag held firmly in his hands. “Donghae, I really like you.” he admitted, blushing.
Donghae's eyes grew wide and she watched as Hyukjae pulled the alien plushy from before, out of the bag. Her eyes lit up and a grin formed over her lips, “I-I like you too…” she stuttered back. Hyukjae held out the toy for her to take, “Will you go out with me?” he asked nervously, Donghae's eyes looked away from the toy and up into Hyukjae's.
“Please?” Hyukjae added as a last minute thought. Donghae's grin grew wider if that was possible and she stepped closer to Hyukjae and wrapped her arms around his neck, wedging the stuffed toy between them, “Yes.” She whispered into his ear. A moment later, Hyukjae's arms were around her waist holding her tight.
“Thank you.” he whispered back, warm breath ghosting over Donghae's neck. They stood in silence for a few minutes before Donghae pulled back slightly. Her eyes looked up into Hyukjae's, her brown orbs glistening faintly. Without another word, she leant up and pressed her lips gently to Hyukjae's.
Pulling back she grinned, “I hope you know what you’ve got yourself into buddy, I'm not as easy as I seem.” She giggled and moved her hands to rest on Hyukjae's shoulders.
“I don’t care, just as long as I have you.” he admitted shamefully. Laughing lightly as he leant back down and pressed another sweet kiss to Donghae's lips.
